PORTRAITS IN A NIGHTGOWN
The project is a series focusing on the premise that while we are all different and tell different stories at our very core we are all the same in that we all are divine, being spirit children from our Heavenly Father. Photographs will feature young women from my community, each wearing the same vintage nightgown and being placed in natural surroundings.

I am hoping to teach our young women that beauty is not derived merely from outward appearance, that while you don't look like Suzie So-and-so down the street or Myrtle Megastar on the cover of Us Weekly, you are still beautiful, that it's not as important to be beautiful on the outside, but that it is important to use the bodies that we do have to create beautiful stories by doing beautiful things pleasing to our Heavenly Father.
The series has ended. It's bittersweet. Incredibly bittersweet. I've learned so much from my wonderful models (about being a better person, doing things outside of your comfort zone), learned so much about photography, and learned so much about myself. I'm so grateful I had this opportunity to work with them and I hope to continue to work with them in the future.
