With each passing week and each passing photo shoot I feel more and more like I'm discovering the type of artist I really am. I mean, the type of art I like to create.
I am continually amazed and inspired by light (which is kind of necessary in the process of photography). I love how it gives shape and depth to objects. Without light we would have no concept of what anything is.
I am in love with contrast. I love having deep juxtapositions between light and dark and making things pop from out of the photograph.
I love clouds. I always have. My husband gave me clouds for a wedding gift (he took me to Yellowstone National Park where clouds literally come out of the ground). I love how clouds naturally play with light and create their own contrast.
Now that I know what I'm inspired by I feel I can move even further into discovering what I want to create.
