Throwback Thursday: Once At Home

Things are ever changing. Certain ways of life are forgotten for "conveniences." We leave things for ease. I question this often. Why do we leave things for "ease" or "modern conveniences?"

The places of decay and forgottenness that I love to photograph are the places that once held everything. All anyone ever wanted and needed was a roof over their head and a place where they could work doing that which they loved. But at some point it was no longer viable to live like this, working a trade on your own land, producing your own livelihood.

I wish I could understand why people stopped wanting to make things. We gave up creativity and ownership for more time to play games on Facebook and the like... We were once at home producing for ourselves.
